The moment when this blood orange coloured moon rose from the ocean this night was simply breathtaking, I couldn’t take my eyes off itIn just a few moments of stillness this amazing ball just rose into the sky against a backdrop of blue sky turning to dark grey as the sun on the opposite side of the sky slowly sank to earth with a fiery glowWith a miracle of the universe occurring right behind them, this group of fitness fanatics did not deviate for one moment from their boot camp training ….. I know… I am an exercise and fitness philistine … but seriously …. how can you not take the time to appreciate such a monumentally beautiful occurrence ? It did seem to be representative of our lifestyle these days…. so much busyness!!!The blood red moon soon changed to a silvery delight as night fell
Ha ha thanks Pam … well I am seriously challenged in that area and always have been….. love to go for a walk but that really had me shaking my head in wonder lol
Talking about being mindful, right? I have s great image of them toiling away as this wonder floats in the sky above them!
You got it!!!
Thanks so much for the gorgeous photos of the Blood Moon. Our sky was overcast, much to my disappointment. To quote one of my young granddaughters: “I LOVE the moon!”
I was brought up to love it too with my mother always talking about Mr Moonie …. so of course I did the same with my daughter… right back to when she was 2 she would gasp at the full moon and get excited, we always took her outside to watch it ….. it is so much a part of everything about us
Thank you so much for your lovely comments
Fabulous photos! As I’ve aged, my workouts have moderated to a pace where I’d be watching and photographing the moon! It was cloudy where we were so we missed it. But I just relived it with you, Philistine or not! Lol
Thank you Debbie … the park was full of people just sitting and waiting for it, and of course there were plenty of photography hopefuls there too. For many it was the chance to sit on the grass and wonder at the beauty over a picnic tea…. for others …. just another day in the frantic grind of fueling the pursuit of fitness !! I just tried fitness walking for a few weeks and ended up with a strained groin…. just cant win lol So now I take a camera and hardly get anywhere at all 😀
Thank you so much Anand. Of course you can use something if you ask me first and just give credit to me so I can get recognition of course 😀 I would love to grow my following that way !!!!
Cheers
and Love and Light to you also
Adrienne
Thank you Rachel … yes with or without blood the moon is always fascinating and I can never resist stopping and takingn it all in on a full moon especially
My world through my camera …. Letting the Light in … one Frame at a Time … while I practise mindfulness and being in the moment as often as I can, I am never the less inclined to record so much of what I see on a day to day basis. I find solace behind the lens, it brings me joy to create beautiful images and fulfilment to record something that just needs to be told. I feel as if my camera at times is just an extension of myself and it will find an image in what may be the tiniest little part of the day or the world around me . Living with depression for much of my life I have been able to use it as a tool to refocus ( pardon the pun)
Love the ‘exercise and fitness philistine’ image. Your photos are just amazing. Lovely post!

What beautiful pictures! And what’s odd is that while it’s the same old moon, the mood it helps create is different in every scene.
The moon looks different yet the same everytime I see it… you know? Like an old familiar family member
In India, as kids, we learn that moon is our maternal uncle – and we call it Chanda-mama (Moon uncle.)
Well us women are very link to the moon and its cycles I think so Maternal Uncle makes sense…. I feel a connection with it for sure.
I guess there must be some truth in it. In fact, his face resembles my mom’s…he could be my uncle – now that I think about it.
Spectacular. You were there! with camera! What a moment.
